Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1/4 cup diced tomatoes (optional)

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Salsa, for dipping

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Season: Stir in the taco seasoning with 2/3 cup of water. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Prepare the Dough: Open the can of crescent roll dough and separate it into 4 rectangles (you can seal the perforations for a better structure).

Assemble Taco Sticks: On each rectangle, spread a spoonful of the seasoned beef mixture down the center. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, and add diced tomatoes, olives, and green onions if desired.

Fold and Seal: Carefully fold the sides of the dough over the filling to create a sealed stick. Pinch the ends to secure the filling inside.

Egg Wash: Place the taco sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden color when baked.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown.

Serve: Let cool for a few minutes, then slice them into smaller sticks and serve warm with salsa on the side for dipping.
