Chopped Chicken Bacon Ranch Sub

Ingredients
  

2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped

6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled

1/2 cup ranch dressing

1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1/4 cup green onions, chopped

4 hoagie or sub rolls

1 cup lettuce, shredded

1 medium tomato, sliced

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: Sliced jalapeños for a spicy kick

Instructions
 

In a large bowl, combine the chopped chicken, crumbled bacon, ranch dressing, and shredded cheese. Mix well to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Split the hoagie rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through.

      Place the rolls on a baking sheet and lightly toast in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until just golden.

        Remove the rolls from the oven. Layer the bottom of each roll with a handful of shredded lettuce and slices of tomato.

          Generously scoop the chicken-bacon mixture onto the lettuce and tomato layer in each roll.

            If desired, add sliced jalapeños for heat and sprinkle additional cheese on top.

              Return the assembled subs to the oven for another 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

                Carefully take the subs out of the oven, garnish with chopped green onions, and close the sandwich.
