Ingredients

8 oz penne pasta

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Add the broccoli florets during the last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Reduce the heat, then add the heavy cream and stir well.

Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens. Add the sautéed chicken and the cooked penne with broccoli to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated in the creamy sauce.

Adjust and Serve: Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning with more salt, pepper, or red pepper flakes as desired. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a bit more chicken broth. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil or parsley.
