Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 packet ranch seasoning mix (about 2 tablespoons)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

1/4 cup finely chopped green onions

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil for cooking

Burger buns

Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, extra cheddar cheese, and ranch dressing

Instructions

Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning mix, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Mix Thoroughly: Using your hands or a spatula, mix the ingredients until well combined. Be careful not to overmix, which can make the burgers tough.

Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Cook the Burgers: Heat a large skillet or grill over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the patties in the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the patties are golden brown.

Toast the Buns: If desired, toast the burger buns in the skillet or on a separate pan, cut side down, for a minute or two until lightly browned.

Assemble the Burgers: Once the patties are cooked and the buns are toasted, place a burger patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with your choice of lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, extra cheddar cheese, and a drizzle of ranch dressing.

Serve: Place the top half of the bun on each burger. Serve immediately with your favorite sides, like sweet potato fries or a crisp salad.
