Ingredients

1 lb salmon fillet, skinless and boneless

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1/4 cup hot honey (or you can mix honey with a pinch of cayenne for a DIY version)

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Salmon: Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized cubes (about 1 inch). Pat them dry with a paper towel and place them in a mixing bowl.

Season the Salmon: Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon cubes. Add garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the salmon is evenly coated with the spices.

Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix together the hot honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. This will be the glaze that adds flavor and a spicy kick.

Coat the Salmon: Gently drizzle about half of the hot honey glaze over the salmon bites and toss to coat.

Bake the Salmon: Spread the coated salmon bites evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Glaze Again: After baking, remove the salmon from the oven and immediately drizzle the remaining hot honey glaze over the bites for an extra punch of flavor.

Garnish & Serve: Transfer the salmon bites to a serving platter, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve warm as an appetizer or over rice as a main dish.
