Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough

4 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded

4 oz pepperoni slices

2 tbsp pizza sauce

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Italian seasoning, to taste

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface and separate the triangles along the perforated lines.

Add Filling: Spread about ½ tsp of pizza sauce on each triangle. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese on top, followed by a couple of slices of pepperoni.

Roll Croissants: Starting from the wide end of each triangle, roll the dough tightly towards the point to form a croissant shape.

Egg Wash: Place the croissants on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Season: Sprinkle Italian seasoning and optional grated Parmesan over the top of each croissant for added flavor.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Optionally, garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving. Enjoy warm!
