Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced into ½-inch rounds

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

1 pinch of salt

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Chopped pecans or walnuts for garnish (optional)

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until it starts to bubble.

Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and salt to the skillet, stirring continuously until the sugar completely dissolves and creates a syrupy mixture.

Carefully add the sliced bananas to the skillet. Gently toss them in the syrup to coat evenly.

Continue cooking for about 2-3 minutes, allowing the bananas to fry until they are golden brown, turning occasionally to ensure they cook evenly.

Once the bananas are caramelized and tender, drizzle in the vanilla extract and lemon juice, gently stirring to combine.

Remove from heat and let them cool slightly. Serve warm, garnished with chopped nuts and fresh mint leaves if desired.
