Ingredients

1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 teaspoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced into strips

1 onion, sliced thin

3 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Cooked rice, for serving

Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Add the sliced flank steak and stir until the meat is well-coated. Let it marinate for about 20-30 minutes.

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once hot, add the marinated flank steak in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Sauté the onion and bell pepper for about 2-3 minutes until they start to soften. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.

Return the cooked flank steak to the skillet and toss everything together. Drizzle with sesame oil, toss well, and cook for another 2 minutes for the flavors to blend.

Remove from heat and serve over cooked rice. Garnish with chopped green onions for an added fresh touch.
